Syntelea is built so that your genome file stays with you.

Your genome file

The Prove page and the Lab read your file inside this browser tab. The file is never uploaded: no part of it, and no genotype from it, is sent to Syntelea or to anyone else. A proof carries phenotypes and a commitment, not genotypes.

Share links

A share link carries the six panel genotypes it opens inside the link itself, after the # sign, which browsers do not send to a server. Anyone you give the link to can read those six genotypes.

What stays on your device

The Lab can keep your commitment key and holder secret in this browser's storage (IndexedDB), and can protect them with a passkey. They never leave the device unless you export them to a file. The site sets no cookies.

What the server sees

The site is a set of static files. Like any website, the server that delivers them sees your IP address and which files were requested. Syntelea runs no analytics or trackers and loads nothing from other sites.

The native prover

If you run the optional native prover, it answers only on your own computer (127.0.0.1). Pages served from anywhere else never contact it.
